The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role involves promoting a strong safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy and Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and update HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Stay current with HSE legislation, best practices, and industry trends.

Risk Management and Incident Response:

• Perform risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Training and Communication:

• Deliver comprehensive HSE training programs, including induction, specific hazard training, and emergency preparedness.
• Promote a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns and clear communication.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of HSE inspections, incidents, training, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare and present regular HSE performance reports to management.
• Handle & execute related other assigned task

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in an HSE role, preferably in a similar industry.
• In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
