Job Summary: The accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial transactions related to restaurants and hospitality are properly recorded. The role includes preparing financial reports, reviewing sales invoices from delivery platforms and in-house operations, supporting cost analysis, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts, customers, and vendors.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash and petty cash balances.
- Review and verify restaurant sales invoices from delivery platforms (e.g., HungerStation, Jahez, ToYou, etc.) as well as in-house and event sales in the hospitality department.
- Ensure all sales transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled with system reports (Foodics/Dynamics).
- Review purchase and expense invoices and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Follow up on accounts receivable and payable to maintain accurate balances.
- Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
- Support in preparing and analyzing cost and profitability reports for restaurants and hospitality operations.
- Work closely with the cost control team to track food and material costs, wastage, and variances.
- Operate and maintain accounting records through Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and Foodics systems.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal financial policies.
- Coordinate with other departments such as Kitchen, Procurement, and HR to ensure accurate financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly revenue and expense performance reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality or restaurant sector.
- Good knowledge of cost control and operational cost analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and Foodics systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Intermediate level of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
