Job Purpose :
Quality Control Manager ensures the QC Inspectors team applies the Quality SOP & Standards to inbound and outbound deliveries Compliance to local (SASO/ SFDA/) and international quality and food safety standards.
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee the implementation of Quality Control (QC) standards and SOPs for inbound and outbound operations to ensure compliance with SASO, SFDA, and international food safety requirements.
- Manage the receiving inspection process for Fresh and FMCG products to verify conformity with agreed product specifications and ensure accurate acceptance or rejection decisions.
• Supervise the documentation and reporting of supplier and product conformance across all categories to maintain regulatory compliance and enable full product traceability.
• Coordinate and enforce food alert, recall, and destructive sampling procedures to mitigate potential food safety risks and safeguard product integrity within the Distribution Center.
• Lead the inspection and evaluation of near-expiry or deteriorating stock to align corrective actions with inventory, commercial, and supplier teams for effective product management.
• Conduct annual quality and hygiene audits within the Distribution Center to assess compliance with standards and drive corrective and preventive action plans.
• Develop and implement training programs for QC Inspectors and DC staff to enhance awareness, technical capability, and adherence to quality and hygiene procedures.
• Analyze and report quality performance metrics including supplier rejection rates and audit outcomes to identify improvement areas and support continuous operational excellence.
• Maintain and monitor documentation systems for all QC activities to ensure readiness for audits and compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
• Support and coordinate pest control and hygiene programs within DC operations to sustain a safe and compliant working environment.
