A Construction B2B Sales Manager drives revenue by developing sales strategies, cultivating client relationships with contractors and developers, leading sales teams, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring customer satisfaction for products or services within the construction industry. Key responsibilities include identifying market opportunities and tenders, negotiating deals, providing sales forecasts, and analyzing market trends to achieve business growth. Essential qualifications involve a relevant bachelor's degree, extensive B2B sales experience in construction, strong leadership, excellent communication, and proficiency in CRM software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share, focusing on the construction sector and real estate. 
  • Client & Relationship Management: Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in construction firms, developers, and government agencies. 
  • Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, train, motivate, and coach a sales team to meet and exceed specified sales goals and foster a high-performing team environment. 
  • Pipeline & Tender Management: Proactively identify and pursue relevant construction tenders and business opportunities, leading the preparation and submission of competitive proposals and bids. 
  • Market & Data Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and governmental procurement policies to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities. 
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Track sales activities, provide regular reports and forecasts on sales performance to senior management, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement. 
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery, post-sales support, and prompt resolution of client concerns. 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Experience: Proven B2B sales experience, with a minimum of several years in the construction industry or related fields like building materials or construction equipment. 
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide, mentor, and motivate a sales team effectively. 
  • Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market data, trends, and sales performance to make strategic decisions. 
  • CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and the Microsoft Office
