Then we want to hear from you! | ROLE OVERVIEW | The Lead Architect will lead the Enterprise Architecture Team for THE LINE Proponent, defining enterprise functions, processes, and architectures that align with THE LINE’s corporate and urban objectives. This leadership role is responsible for creating a robust foundation for THE LINE’s operations, leveraging industry-standard frameworks and smart city expertise to ensure scalability, interoperability, and innovation. The Chief Architect will also design the blueprint for THE LINE as a cognitive city of the future, integrating advanced technologies and ensuring alignment with NEOM’s vision. | ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES The Senior Manager – Enterprise Architecture’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Lead the Enterprise Architecture Team - Lead the Enterprise Architecture Team for THE LINE Proponent, defining its structure, roles, and responsibilities.
- Recruit and mentor top talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
- Establish the team’s operating model, ensuring alignment with THE LINE’s corporate and urban objectives.
Enterprise Function & Process Establishment (Corporate Focus) - Define and establish enterprise functions and processes for THE LINE Proponent, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s standards and best practices.
- Develop frameworks for governance, scalability, and interoperability across corporate systems, data, and infrastructure.
- Standardize processes to drive operational efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness across corporate functions.
Blueprint & Architecture Design (Cognitive City Focus) - Design the blueprint and enterprise architecture for THE LINE as a cognitive city of the future, integrating advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and big data.
- Ensure the city’s architecture is scalable, secure, and interoperable, supporting seamless urban operations and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors.
- Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and technology providers to deliver innovative, user-centric solutions for THE LINE’s smart city ecosystem.
Framework Implementation & Governance - Leverage industry-standard frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL) as the basis for THE LINE Proponent’s enterprise architecture operations.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure all enterprise architectures meet scalability, safety, compliance, and reusability standards.
- Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect THE LINE’s corporate and urban digital ecosystems.
Strategic Alignment & Collaboration - Align enterprise architecture strategies with THE LINE’s corporate and urban objectives, ensuring coherence and compatibility across all systems.
- Foster collaboration with regional and sectoral digital solutions to create a unified ecosystem that supports THE LINE’s dual identity.
- Act as a key liaison between THE LINE Proponent and NEOM’s broader technology initiatives.
Innovation & Future-Readiness - Drive the adoption of emerging technologies that enhance both corporate operations and the smart city experience.
- Ensure THE LINE’s architecture is future-ready, capable of adapting to evolving technological and urban demands.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience - 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a related field, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of establishing and leading enterprise architecture teams in large-scale, complex environments.
- Extensive experience in smart city projects, with a deep understanding of urban digital infrastructure, IoT, AI, and big data technologies.
- Deep understanding of industry-standard frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL, and others, with experience applying them in practice.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, scalability, and interoperability principles, with experience applying them in both corporate and urban contexts.
- Knowledge of NEOM’s vision and THE LINE’s objectives is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across corporate and urban domains.
- Strategic thinking and vision alignment, with the ability to balance corporate and urban priorities.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience establishing and leading high-performing teams.
- Expertise in enterprise and solution architecture frameworks, applied to both corporate and urban environments.
- Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments, bridging the gap between corporate governance and urban innovation.
- An innovative-driven mindset with a focus on delivering future-ready solutions for both corporate and urban needs.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred
