The Planning Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction and building industry, particularly in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This position involves the development, monitoring, and management of project schedules to ensure timely completion of construction projects. The Planning Engineer collaborates with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create detailed plans that align with project goals and client expectations. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate software tools.
  2. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to gather project requirements and timelines.
  3. Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proposing solutions as needed.
  4. Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
  5. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Facilitate communication between various teams to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  8. Assist in resource allocation and budgeting to optimize project costs.
  9. Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on planning activities.
  10. Continuously evaluate project performance and suggest improvements for future projects.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experiences as Planning Engineer in Power Plant or EPC or Construction field 
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
  9. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  10. Team player with a collaborative mindset.

  • Proficient in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera 6 , MS Project).
