ROLE OVERVIEW
The Events Lead will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering exceptional events that amplify THE LINE's story, foster engagement among stakeholders.
This position will be integral to achieving THE LINE’s vision through innovative event strategies and seamless execution.
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Events Lead’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Event Planning
- Plan event logistics, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define event requirements, ensuring expectations are met.
- Develop detailed operational plans to deliver seamless event experiences.
Vendor Management
- Source, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Oversee contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and quality expectations.
External Contractor Management
- Ensure external contractors adhere to THE LINE policies, guidelines, and compliance standards.
- Supervise contractors on-site to ensure work setup and deliverables meet THE LINE’s requirements.
Advocate Management and Briefing
- Manage and coordinate Advocates participating in events, ensuring their roles align with event objectives.
- Develop comprehensive briefings for Advocates, equipping them with key storylines, messaging, and talking points.
- Provide on-site guidance and support to Advocates during events, ensuring consistency in communication and engagement with stakeholders.
- Gather feedback from Advocates post-event to refine future strategies and improve their experience.
Event Execution
- Lead the end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor and evaluate event success, preparing post-event reports with actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Leadership and Development
- Manage and mentor an Event Executive, fostering professional growth and development.
- Provide clear guidance, constructive feedback, and opportunities for skill enhancement.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring financial accountability and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Track and report on budget performance, addressing variances proactively.
Model Management
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative physical models that showcase THE LINE’s vision and values.
- Oversee the design, production, and delivery of physical models, ensuring they meet event objectives and design standards.
- Drive the adoption of technology-driven experiences, such as interactive digital models, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) tools, to complement or replace traditional physical models.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge solutions to enhance storytelling and engagement through models.
Driving Innovative, Tech-Led Event Experiences
- Lead the implementation of advanced technologies to create dynamic, immersive, and impactful event experiences.
- Identify and adopt emerging tools and platforms to enhance interactivity and engagement for event attendees.
- Pilot and evaluate new technologies, incorporating AR, VR, AVP, and other experiential formats into events.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure tech-led experiences support event objectives and reflect THE LINE’s commitment to innovation.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in event management, preferably in high-profile, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing large-scale events with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Experience managing and briefing Advocates or similar representatives to enhance event impact.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of seniority.
- Proficiency in event management tools and software, with a data-driven approach to measuring success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
