. Development and Implementation of Safety Policies and Procedures
- Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures tailored to FTI’s operations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., Saudi Labor Laws, OSHA, and NFPA standards).
- Develop site-specific risk management strategies.
2. Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification
- Conduct regular hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
- Implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for high-risk tasks.
- Evaluate potential hazards associated with machinery, equipment, and processes.
3. Training and Awareness Programs
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct specialized training sessions on topics like confined space entry, work at height, and electrical safety.
- Provide toolbox talks to ensure daily awareness of safety practices.
4. Incident Management and Reporting
- Investigate all workplace incidents, including near misses, first aid cases, and Lost Workday Cases (LWDC).
- Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for management and clients.
5. Monitoring and Compliance
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all operational areas.
- Ensure that employees and contractors adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Monitor compliance with emergency response procedures and drills.
6. Emergency Response Planning
- Develop and maintain an effective Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
- Coordinate and conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency rescue scenarios.
- Ensure emergency equipment is functional and strategically located.
7. Contractor and Subcontractor Safety Management
- Evaluate and approve contractors’ safety management plans.
- Monitor and audit contractors’ performance to ensure adherence to FTI’s safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors to address any safety violations or concerns.
8. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
- Generate monthly HSE performance reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure documentation aligns with client and regulatory requirements.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance FTI’s safety culture.
- Implement innovative solutions to mitigate risks and improve operational safety.
- Benchmark against industry best practices to keep FTI ahead of safety standards.
10. Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a safety advisor to management, providing guidance on strategic decisions.
- Lead the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee meetings.
- Foster a culture of safety among all employees by leading by example.
