Mechanical Design Engineer

  • Perform analysis and simulations to validate design performance, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics.
  • Create mechanical components, systems, and products in line with project requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize analysis and simulations to verify the performance of designs, including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers to ensure the smooth integration of mechanical designs throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Conceptual Design: Develop and evaluate conceptual designs for new products and systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and perform preliminary design calculations.
  • Generate 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
  • Detailed Design: Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other relevant engineering calculations.
  • Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
  • Conduct testing and analysis of prototypes to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze test data and make necessary design modifications.
  • Project Management: Contribute to project planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders.
  • Research & Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and design technologies.
  • Conduct research and development activities to improve existing designs and explore new technologies.

Skills

  • Knowledge of engineering analysis and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation.
  • Proficiency in utilizing engineering analysis and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for the validation of designs.
  • Established experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and various manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with construction Healthcare industries.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
