Job Description:

Mapa Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our workforce on ARAMCO Pipeline Projects. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in occupational safety standards, accident investigation, and compliance with NEBOSH and OSHA regulations.

*This role will be located in Aramco Pipeline Project Site in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and procedures on ARAMCO Pipeline Projects.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Training and Certification:

  • Providing training to employees on Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, OSHA and NEBOSH standards.
  • Ensuring team adherence to safety protocols and update them on industry best practices.

Accident Investigation:

  • Leading and managing accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Preparing detailed reports on incidents and ensure proper documentation.

Documentation and Reporting: 

  • Maintaining updated records of safety certifications and employee training.
  • Submitting detailed reports on safety performance and compliance to management.

Equipment and Procedures: 

  • Monitoring and inspecting safety equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Developing and implementing safety procedures tailored to ARAMCO Pipeline Projects.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Safety Officer (Candidate must have official signed / stamped work experience letters confirming the required years of work experience from previous employers)
  • Prior experience working on ARAMCO Pipeline Projects is mandatory.
  • Expertise in accident investigation and advanced knowledge of NEBOSH standards.
  • Proficiency in using safety tracking systems and creating detailed reports.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications from the Saudi Heart Association or the American Heart Association.
  • Formal safety training and internationally recognized safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour certification, NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language would be a plus).
