We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement & Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for construction and building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction materials, market trends, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and gather competitive pricing information.
- Analyze technical specifications and drawings to determine material quantities and labor requirements.
- Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost models and reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure project success.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best possible pricing and terms.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and market fluctuations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Procurement Estimator in the construction and building industry.
- Proven experience in developing accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Timberline, Procore).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
