Job Summary
The MPE Supervisor will oversee and manage the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical (MPE) systems within the facility to ensure seamless operations, safety, and compliance. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs to optimize system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management:
- Supervise daily operations of MPE systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety equipment.
- Monitor and ensure optimal functioning of all MPE-related infrastructure and resolve any technical issues promptly.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of MPE technicians, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians to enhance their skills and maintain high service standards.
- Maintenance & Repairs:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all MPE systems.
- Oversee repairs and replacement of defective components, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all systems meet safety standards and comply with local regulations and codes.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, procurement, and project execution.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Generate and present reports on MPE system performance and improvements to the Facility Manager.
- Cost Management:
- Optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.
- Identify and implement energy-efficient solutions for MPE systems.
Skills
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Minimum of [5+] years of experience in MPE operations and maintenance, with at least [2+] years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in MPE systems, including HVAC, generators, electrical panels, pumps, and plumbing.
