Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Mills Manager to oversee operations at our state-of-the-art Wheat milling facility in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing milling operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of the wheat milling process to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and oversee all plant operations to ensure the production of high-quality Wheat milling products.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and meet performance targets.
- Manage and lead plant staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all aspects of plant operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and timely repairs to avoid production interruptions.
- Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and supply chain requirements to meet customer demands.
- Implement and sustain quality assurance programs to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to align production with business goals.
- Represent the company in regulatory inspections, audits, and industry events as required.
Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the milling industry, with a strong background in wheat processing and manufacturing.
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of driving operational improvements and achieving results.
- In-depth knowledge of milling equipment, production processes, and quality assurance standards.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and food safety requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to be on-site and available for emergencies outside regular working hours.
