- Receive incoming trucks and check that materials and quantities match the packing slip.
- Receive incoming couriers and check that materials and quantities match the packing slip.
- Report any damages or discrepancies immediately to your supervisor or the shipping coordinator.
- Warehouse incoming materials when no trucks in the door.
- Loading outgoing trucks and checking that paperwork is correct.
- Keep shipping entrance door area clean and clear of obstruction. Salt and shovel as required.
- Check to make sure docks are working properly and report any problems to maintenance and your supervisor.
- Staging and scanning materials for shipment.
- Ensure the packages are clean and damage free.
- Ensure shipments are properly labelled.

- Bin transferring must always be done and checked.

- Communicate with the shipping coordinator by 2:00 pm daily what trucks are left to come.
- Communicate with the person taking over trucks by 3:00 pm daily what still needs to be done.
- Spend time with shipping coordinator to learn new tasks when time allows.
- Spend time on projects when time allows.
