OVERALL PURPOSE:
Strong background in project management methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully overseeing projects. The project manager will be responsible for supervising the planning, execution, and closeout of projects. Moreover, work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and achieve the specified objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of projects, ensuring adherence to PMM, project policy, governance documents, project execution plans, and approved baselines.
- Develop project management plans (PMPs) and supervise accordingly the projects’ activities, resources, and dependencies to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project quality, ensuring deliverables meet the defined standards and specifications in the project’s contract.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track contractors’ payments.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates, clarifying requirements, and resolving issues.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for contractors, supervision consultants, and NWC project staff in order to address performance issues effectively.
- Identify and manage changes to project scope, time schedule, and resources, ensuring proper change control processes are followed.
- Assess the impact of changes on project objectives and communicate changes effectively to the cluster projects GM and respective departments.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes and procedures.
- Capture and share lessons learned from completed projects, driving improvements in future project execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in project management, incorporating relevant strategies into project management frameworks.
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop mitigation strategies. Regularly monitor project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular project status updates via NWC-PMIS and ensure that project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports, is accurate, up-to-date, and regularly uploaded.
