The Project Manager holds a pivotal role in overseeing the complete lifecycle of commercial-scale solar PV projects, encompassing a range of responsibilities across planning, execution, and stakeholder management. Key duties include:

1. Project Planning and Development

• Preparing and continuously updating project schedules.

• Managing proposals from subcontractors and finalizing agreements.

• Coordinating engineering and procurement processes, including procurement of components from suppliers.

• Collaborating with internal engineering design teams and suppliers’ technical support as required.

• Overseeing logistics, supplies, and inventory management.

• Maintaining and updating project drawings to reflect progress.

2. Construction and Execution Oversight

• Initiating site startup, including surveys and layout planning.

• Establishing and adhering to site HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) plans.

• Managing on-site installation teams and maintaining cleanliness and professional site standards.

• Supervising subcontractors and consultants during construction.

• Training and supervising technicians to ensure best practices are followed.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Serving as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

• Addressing and resolving RFIs (Requests for Information) from clients and subcontractors.

• Participating in client project update meetings to ensure alignment and transparency.

4. Risk and Change Management

• Managing change orders with clients and subcontractors to mitigate project risks effectively.

5. Project Completion and Handover

• Testing and commissioning completed systems to meet project specifications.

• Preparing and submitting close-out documentation, including as-built drawings.

• Providing support for operations and maintenance (O&M) as required post-handover.


Skills

Potential candidates for the Project Manager position should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in solar PV installation, with a strong background in the field, and ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, although degrees in construction management, mechanical, or civil engineering will also be considered.

The ideal candidate should have a solid command of both English and Arabic, ensuring effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. They should be confident in taking on responsibility and working independently in a fast-paced environment, with direct reporting to the Head of EPC.

A resourceful attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential, as is a keen attention to detail and a pride in delivering high-quality results.

The candidate should have a willingness to continue learning, growing, and developing professionally, with a long-term commitment to contributing to the success of a growing business. Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscone is also required to effectively manage and oversee project execution.
