We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on the Programming Manager (MICE) role at King Fahad Cultural Center. A renowned global venue operator is looking to build a highly motivated team to support its operations at a newly refurbished venue in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Fahad Cultural Center (KFCC) features a 2750-seat main auditorium and will present worldclass productions across multiple genres. With its state-of-the-art facilities, KFCC is set to become a leading venue for cultural activities in Riyadh. The venue will host an extensive range of events leveraging the latest technological advancements.


Summary of Role:

  • Assist the Proggramming and Events Diretor in developing and actively pursuing opportunities for the venue to attract new musical and theatrical promoters, MICE events and weddings, always thinking innovatively, bringing originality to the programme.
  • Develop and sustain key relationships through excellent communication and knowledge of their work at the venue and elsewhere as well as working with new partners and engaging new events and audiences.
  • Work closely with the the wider team to deliver a programme to match the venue’s national and international status.
  • Demonstrate a first-class service to internal and external stakeholders including venue staff, promoters, corporate clients and other third parties through excellent communication and administrative skills.
  • Act as an ambassador for the venue.

Skills

  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of and network of contacts in the MICE and weddings industry.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts.
  • Ability to investigate and analyse information and to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Ability to extract the clients’ requirements and propose the best event solution within the venue’s capabilities. 
  • Have a good understanding of technical production solutions to optimize the audio-visual experience for the clients.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to foster good working relationships.
  • Excellent customer service skills which demonstrate a professional pro-active manner which inspires confidence in a wide variety of internal and external customer. • Strong ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Computer literacy on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Numeric and the ability to develop, read/understand budgets and other financial information.
  • Skill in developing and implementing new procedures.
  • Ideally at least 2 years’ experience of managing staff within a similar organisation.
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Have an understanding, appreciation, and passion for the development of customer experience in the corporate/private events sector.
  • Have a good knowledge or understanding of the customer experience in a venue environment, and its potential pressures.
  • Have demonstrable experience of working within the GCC region.
  • Ideally Arabic speaker.
  • Have a passion and desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to motivate, develop and inspire colleagues.
  • The ability to research, assimilate information into reports and cost analysis/justification.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to be an ambassador for the venue.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and able to work within a fast-moving work environment
