The Health and Safety Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees within the FMCG, Food & Beverage Production, and Manufacturing sectors. This position involves the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety protocols to minimize risks and enhance workplace safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and be proactive in identifying potential hazards. They will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring that the organization meets all legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
  4. Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
  5. Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations.
  6. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
  7. Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.
  8. Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in health and safety legislation.
  10. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
