Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Technical Documentation:
- Review and prepare architectural drawings and designs.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare material take-offs and quantities for cost estimation.
- Assist in the preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and design modifications.
- Coordination with Design and Construction Teams:
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project meets architectural specifications.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure designs are correctly implemented.
- Review contractor submissions and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with architectural plans.
- Communicate design changes or revisions to the construction team.
- Site Supervision & Quality Control:
- Assist in the coordination of construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to architectural plans and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality, compliance, and progress of work.
- Ensure proper handling and installation of materials as per the architectural requirements.
- Address and resolve technical problems on-site and report any deviations from the architectural design.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Provide input on the selection and sourcing of construction materials.
- Assist in tracking project costs and ensuring that the project stays within the allocated budget.
- Maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence.
- Technical Support:
- Offer technical advice and solutions to construction teams and other engineers.
- Review the feasibility of design solutions and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Ensure effective communication between the architectural team and the on-site construction team.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all designs, drawings, and construction activities meet local building codes and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, building codes, and construction methodologies.
Skills
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-9 years of experience in architectural design, technical office engineering, or construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction standards.
- Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various project teams.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure the accuracy of all drawings, specifications, and construction processes.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring deadlines are met.
