The Site Engineer will coordinate with the Site Construction Manager and relevant teams to ensure the efficient execution of projects. This role involves optimizing manpower, materials, and equipment allocation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining documentation accuracy. The Site Engineer will also play a pivotal role in progress tracking, reporting, and site management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Resource Allocation:
- Collaborate with the Site Construction Manager and Superintendent/Foreman to optimize the allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment for assigned projects.
- Translate look-ahead programs into actionable work schedules for site supervisory staff.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure the timely submission of site forms (within 48 hours), including Material Delivery Notes (with authorized signatures and ID numbers), Master Labor Card, Daily Activity Reports, and other required documentation.
- Assist in preparing and updating weekly and monthly progress reports.
Material and Equipment Management:
- Order materials and equipment as needed, upon approval by the Site Construction Manager.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely purchasing and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Minimize material and equipment wastage on-site.
Safety and Compliance:
- Communicate and enforce safety rules and regulations across the workforce.
- Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with job specifications and schedules.
Workforce Monitoring and Productivity:
- Monitor labor attendance and productivity, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Conduct daily meetings with site staff to plan and organize work for the current and following day.
Schedule Management:
- Assist the Site Construction Manager in preparing look-ahead schedules for projects.
- Coordinate with Planning to update project progress on a weekly basis.
Site Management:
- Maintain site aesthetics and ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Maintain a digital photo database for record-keeping and management-defined marketing purposes.
Technical Coordination:
- Coordinate with Engineering for the preparation and delivery of as-built drawings for projects.
