Job Role:
Responsible for performing Level 3 maintnenance on military vehicles, focusing on replaceable mechanical units and components.
Specializations:
Engine Systems Technicians: Handle the removal, replacement, and diagnostics of engines in both tactical and logistical vehicles.
Transmission & Drivetrain Technicians: Focus on the removal and replacement of transmissions, differentials, and drivetrain components.
Suspension & Brake Technicians: Specialize in maintaining and replacing suspension and brake systems on military vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Level 3 (LRU) maintenance tasks, such as the removal and replacement of line-replaceable mechanical units (engines, transmissions, suspension systems).
Conduct diagnostics on mechanical systems to determine whether a full in-depth (Level 4) repair is needed.
Ensure proper functionality of mechanical systems after LRU maintenance, coordinating with test technicians for verification.
Collaborate with electrical technicians on systems where mechanical and electrical components are integrated.
Adhere to military technical manuals and guidelines during maintenance tasks, ensuring full compliance.
