Job Description:
- Oversee logistics outbound operations and ensure efficient supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor and Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures.
- Schedule Shipments and Deliveries, a main responsibility of a Logistics Supervisor is to oversee the transportation of products from one location to another.
- Maintain Warehouse Inventory, a Logistics Supervisor will study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs. This often includes analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock.
- Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
- Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries
- Tracking the progress of shipments
- Understand 3PL/2PL deliveries
- Route Planning and outbound deliveries.
- Responsible for accurate and timely pulling and shipping of MOs for production by coordinating with Material Handling to ensure that each line has the appropriate type and number of components to run and changeover efficiently and effectively
- Coordinate and ensure proper loading and unloading of all trucks
- Ability to manage people of drivers, helpers.
- Ability to coordinate with warehouses, finance, and sales.
Skills
Academic and professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or industrial engineering
Experience:
5+ years of experience preferably in consumer products / packaged goods sector
