Then we want to hear from you! | ROLE OVERVIEW | - Oversee and direct construction programme during the full life-cycle of the implementation phase.
- Liaise with the design teams to review buildability and development of project schedule, deliverables, and cost estimates.
- Oversee the construction management teams to ensure the safe delivery of established project aims and objectives.
| KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Leadership - Engage with the design teams to provide constructability feedback in respect of feasibility analysis, project design, appraisal and value identification.
- Lead the development of Project Execution Plans, which should be leveraged to draw up effective contracts to communicate project requirements to the implementation teams.
- Oversee the assembly of project teams and professional consultants and manage their input through the construction process.
- Report construction status (schedule, cost, and quality) to project delivery, and ensure the continuing development of schedule master plans through the detailing of periodic work-plans and progress trackers.
- Drive best value decision-making to ensure construction moves forward, minimising delays and setbacks in the drive to attain Project KPI’s.
- Ensure the NEOM environmental, quality, health and safety and welfare standards are executed by all parties.
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risk.
- Post Completion, effective handover to asset owner/manager.
- Lead team retrospective programme to ensure “lessons learned” are leveraged from project insights, to facilitate rapid improvement in the on-going construction programme and ensure that structured feedback is provided on delivery team performance.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Over 20 years of rail / transportation construction experience, with at least 5 years’ senior executive experience earned with major construction companies.
- Over 10 years of rail / transportation construction experience gained in the Middle East / Asia.
- Demonstrated track record of the delivery of complex and high-value construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction implementation.
- Proven construction feasibility and project planning experience.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen through business experience (either through ownership or major P&L ownership as an executive).
- Financial management experience.
- General knowledge of business processes.
- Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
- Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen through business experience (either through ownership or major P&L ownership as an executive).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven innovator.
- Experience leading and managing high performing individuals and teams.
- Ability to be a team player that motivates and educates other team members and comprehends complex, technical subjects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent qualification.
