The Legal Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the interests of the retail and wholesale sectors by ensuring compliance with legal regulations and managing legal risks. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of commercial law, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution. The Legal Manager will work closely with various departments to provide legal guidance and support, ensuring that the company operates within the legal framework while achieving its business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the legal department and manage all legal affairs of the company.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  3. Provide legal advice to management on various business operations and initiatives.
  4. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  5. Manage and resolve disputes, including litigation and arbitration processes.
  6. Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  7. Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  8. Train and educate staff on legal compliance and risk management.
  9. Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary.
  10. Monitor changes in legislation that may affect the company's operations.
