Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems based on tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Develop and review BOQs for MEP works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze project designs and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for MEP systems and services.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess project risks, including changes in design, material costs, and scheduling, and incorporate these into the estimation.
- Collaboration with Design Team: Work closely with the design team to ensure that MEP systems are being properly designed, costed, and planned.
- Tender Documentation: Review and evaluate tender documents and ensure that estimates are submitted on time and in line with the client's requirements.
- Cost Control: Monitor and track project budgets, ensuring that MEP-related costs are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on estimates, cost analysis, and progress, and present these to project stakeholders and management.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the project team during the construction and implementation stages, ensuring that the MEP designs are being followed accurately.
