Environmental Manager - Mega Construction Project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the environmental management plan for the construction project.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to local, national, and international laws.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Lead environmental training sessions and workshops for project staff to promote awareness and compliance.
  • Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Maintain communication with regulatory agencies and community stakeholders regarding environmental issues and compliance.
  • Track and report on environmental performance metrics and objectives to senior management.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing environmental compliance on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must hold a transferable visa.
