Description :
1. Actively participate in the development, implementation and review of the Safety Management System (SMS), goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), standards, policies, procedure, programs and training.
2. Provide engineering and technical support to safety supervisor and advisors in identifying hazards and managing risks within their assigned areas.
3. Support in the development and promotion of safety awareness and campaign materials and programs to address safety issues and concerns (including off-the-job).
4. Provide support to all Departments in implementing SMS, identifying safety concerns and developing practical and cost-effective recommendations.
5. Identify hazards and evaluate potential losses through engineering tools, inspections and data analysis then develop recommendations and solutions for mitigation or elimination.
6. Provides support in the development, implementation and management of the behavioral based safety program.
7. Participate in the design review of new projects or upgrade of existing facilities in accordance with local regulations and international engineering standards and best practices.
8. Develop, implement, maintain and enhance incident investigation system.
9. Oversee the risk reduction plan by evaluating, implementing and tracking recommendations from external audits (shareholders, lenders and insurance companies) concerning process risk management.
10. Conduct compliance reviews and enhancement safety studies.
11. Assist the Safety Superintendent in identifying safety staff training and career development needs to recommend training and development plan.
12. Develop and maintain an effective Contractor Safety Management as per SATORP SMS requirements (example; Safety Plans, Training programs, Qualification, Hazard Identification Plans (HIPs), etc...).
13. Develop annual safety schedules (Emergency drills, Management safety walkthroughs, and quarterly safety inspections).
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineer or Equivalent.
Experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Companies.
