As a Construction Logistics Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, and the optimization of site logistics solutions to meet project needs. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of people, goods, and equipment, while managing site facilities and ensuring safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Programming:
- Develop logistics strategies to efficiently move labor, materials, and plant around the site. Ensure separation of vehicles, machinery, and personnel throughout the project.
- Mobilization:
- Secure the site, manage traffic, and coordinate site accommodations, including inductions and operational procedures.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Control material deliveries, manage storage, and coordinate with contractors to maintain a seamless flow of resources.
- Safety:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct site inspections, and create site-specific safety manuals and emergency plans.
- Vehicles, Plant, and Equipment:
- Manage plant and equipment, maintain an asset register, and ensure they are operated and maintained in compliance with safety standards.
- Security:
- Manage site security personnel, enforce compliance with regulations, and ensure site safety.
- Environmental & CSR Responsibilities:
- Maintain waste management plans, ensure environmental monitoring, and lead corporate social responsibility activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction management or logistics that has delivered measurable improvements.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and drive performance improvements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- IT proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Leadership skills to manage teams and create a positive work environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- CSCS/SMSTS/SSSTS certification
- First Aid and Lifting Supervisor Certification
- Experience in traffic management and safety programs
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 15 years in a logistics management role, including project management from inception to handover.
- Strong background as an EPC Contractor (not consultant).
- KSA or Gulf experience preferred.
