The Senior Cost Controller plays a pivotal role in the Meat Food Production and Manufacturing industry, ensuring that all financial aspects of the production process are meticulously monitored and controlled. This position involves overseeing the cost management strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis, enabling them to provide valuable insights that drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement cost control procedures to monitor production costs effectively.
  2. Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing detailed reports to management.
  3. Collaborate with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  4. Prepare and maintain accurate cost estimates for new projects and product lines.
  5. Conduct regular audits of inventory and production processes to ensure compliance with financial policies.
  6. Provide training and support to junior cost control staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  7. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning them with strategic business goals.
  8. Monitor market trends and economic factors that may impact production costs.
  9. Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven minimum of 3 years experience in cost control within the Meat food manufacturing sector.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  4. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft dynamics
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues.
  8. Experience in training and mentoring junior staff.
  9. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
