Role Overview

The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in the organization’s success by overseeing all aspects of data analysis, and involve developing and maintaining databases, selecting, and configuring analysis systems, and producing regular reports. The role will be working closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze performance metrics, and to support the production of insightful reports and operational excellence. The Data Analyst will be reporting to Reporting Senior Manager.

Requirements Summary

  • Collecting and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Storing and Analyzing results in databases using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports.
  • Developing and implementing data platforms and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Collaborating with teams within the business to establish data and reporting requirements.
  • Defining new data collection and analysis processes.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Designing and creating data reports using reporting tools.
  • Making recommendations to increase efficiency and improve data management and quality.
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Data Analyst responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Stakeholder Management

  • Analyze stakeholders’ needs and interests.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and meetings.
  • Manage the dissemination of information, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including THE LINE Region Team Members, Own team, Departments Heads/Executive Directors, and other teams across NEOM, External consultants and partners to ensure stakeholder interests are aligned with organizational objectives.

People Management

  • Help instill a culture of development, guidance, and performance within the Reporting team.
  • Take responsibility, in collaboration with the Senior Reporting Manager, for building and maintaining a high-performance team.
  • Promote a high-performance working environment embracing NEOM’s values.

Change Management

  • Stay informed about best practices in stakeholder management and apply them to enhance engagement strategies.
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of engagement and communication.
  • Promote transparency and accountability in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks associated with the change and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop a strategy that outlines the approach, resources, and timelines for implementing the change.

Leadership

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with the relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive strategies and decisions.

Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience in working with large datasets and implementing performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Data Analytics and BI tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SSIS, ETL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experienced in Cloud Data platforms including Oracle / Azure / AWS / Google cloud / Power Automate.
  • Exposure to Data Management processes including Data Quality, Data Architecture, Data Integration s.
  • Proficient in developing and maintaining advanced reports, dashboards, data catalogs, and data visualizations using the Power BI (or similar) platform.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., BIDA, ACP, PMP) preferred.
  • Relevant Professional Memberships/Accreditation.
