Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Safety Officer at Oceans-ltd in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, developing safety procedures, and training staff on safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Conduct site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
• Provide safety training and orientations for new employees and contractors.
• Prepare and maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Actively promote safety awareness among all staff and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the project management team to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of safety, preferably in the marine construction and diving works projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices specific to Saudi Arabia
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
• NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification is required.
