Description
The Bed Manager will be responsible for:
- Continually monitoring and coordinating capacity and flow throughout the hospital.
- Making regular visits to the wards to maintain an accurate bed status, tracking actual and potential discharges in collaboration with nursing staff.
- Collecting and collating data for operational site reports.
- Reporting capacity and flow information in site meetings to aid in the planning and management of inpatient bed utilization.
- Ensuring that bed management clinical systems are updated and accurate.
- Utilizing operational and clinical knowledge to assess and manage appropriate patient transfers to outlying and escalation areas as needed.

Skills & Competencies:
- Verbal and written fluency in English and Arabic.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in an acute setting and managing patient flow.
- Ward-level management experience.
- Awareness of operational flow within an acute hospital.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Relevant post-registration experience in a hospital setting.
- Ideally, experience in long-term care.
- Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Competency in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations.
- Ability to analyze and present complex information to professional colleagues.
- Experience in caseload management.
- Locally available in KSA with a transferable Iqama.
