Role purpose

Region and Sector team is a trusted adviser and partner for success that works closely with each Entity (regions, sectors, other entities) across their marketing maturation journey. The team creates a robust and pro-active partnership to ensures delivery of Entity priority, and drives the knowledge transfer and capability building of new hires to the respective Entities

The purpose of the role is to drive and manage the synchronization of marketing efforts across NEOM’s Regions and Sectors, ensuring alignment with the central marketing strategy. This role involves deep collaboration with various entities, conducting maturity assessments, managing resource allocation, and fostering a unified marketing community.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with NEOM’s overall vision and goals.
  • Participate in annual planning synchronization, resource, and budget allocation with various entities to inform Central MarCom decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of entities’ marketing maturity and alignment with Central MarCom standards and goals.
  • Coordinate with NEOM Region / Sector / Entity stakeholders to understand business priorities. Support Regions / Sectors / Entity Marketing and Communications teams to ensure appropriate entity advocacy with relevant central stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the central Marketing and Communications team to understand the capabilities, processes, and technology and ideate to facilitate the delivery of entity priorities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the Region / Sector / Entity Marketing and Communications teams and central team to ensure delivery of marketing objectives for NEOM and roll out initiatives and key projects of the central team.
  • Ensure entity marketing briefs and requests to Central Marketing are complete and clear.
  • Drive marketing and communication prioritization of the projects initiated by the entities that require Central Marketing resources and services.
  • Facilitate collaboration of entity and Central Brand teams to support in establishing entity positioning, brand strategy and architecture, brand naming, and identity development.
  • Participate in the marketing campaigns, events planning, selection and identification of audiences, and media planning to reach entity launch campaign objectives.
  • Provide inputs to develop the campaign strategy and platform; manage planning and delivery of campaign communications content, creatives, and collaterals.
  • Drive implementation of strategic programs like the marketing and communications operating model across all NEOM entities.
  • Drive engagement cadence with the entity marketing teams to ensure plans visibility and alignment.
  • Oversee development of documentation and reports to facilitate approvals required by Region and Sector or NEOM management stakeholders for the marketing plans, assets, media, and required budgets.
  • Support events planning execution to ensure agreed objectives are achieved; drive adherence to brand guidelines and approved marketing plans and align stakeholders.
  • Support leadership in setting campaign KPIs and success parameters; regularly monitor campaign performance, analyze, and provide recommendations for campaign optimization.
  • Work closely with Central Marketing and Communication functional team s to ensure the required digital and technology platforms and tools are available for the entities.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and project management. They should possess strong leadership and communication skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and innovative environment. Cultural sensitivity and a customer-centric approach are also crucial for success in this role at NEOM.

Experience:

  • Marketing Leadership : Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing in various industries and economic sectors, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Strategic Planning : Proven track record in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Strong experience working collaboratively across various departments and entities, ideally within large, complex organizations.
  • Project Management : Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with NEOM’s futuristic vision and goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA degree preferred) in marketing or related field
