Role Purpose

The Planning Engineer is essential for planning and monitoring projects within the Oxagon initiative. This role ensures projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, aligning with NEOM's sustainability goals.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Schedule Review:

  • Evaluate contractor schedules for compliance and quality.
  • Assess adherence to contracts, baseline schedules, and critical path analysis.
  • Progress Measurement:
  • Review contractor Progress Measurement Sheets.
  • Analyze progress against baselines for accuracy.

Schedule Updates:

  • Update the Integrated Master Schedule weekly.
  • Recommend recovery actions and analyze contract performance.

Reporting Support:

  • Assist in report preparation and evaluate change impacts.
  • Support decision-making with relevant insights and data.

Background, Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 10-15 years of planning experience in construction or project management.
  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and other schedule management applications.
  • Strong understanding of commodity quantity unit rate analysis for planning.
  • Experience in implementing Progress Measurement Systems for EPC.
  • Excellent communication abilities across various management levels.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Expert in Primavera and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Certification in other Microsoft applications is advantageous.
  • At least five (5) years of planning experience in complex environments, demonstrating adaptability.
