Government Relations Officer

  • Ensure that all regulations are properly communicated and complied with, internally and externally, including assessing risks to the company's business units and proposing potential implications and mitigations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and moderate compliance risks, including potential suggestions on business units.
  • Build strong relationships with key public sector entities, including local, regional, and national government bodies.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and governmental bodies, coordinating efforts and communicating organizational interests and concerns.
  • Manage required communication with MHRSD representative bodies and individuals.
  • Manage MHRSD-related requests/inquiries from GOSI, QIWA, Moqeem, Mudad, HRDF, etc.
  • Respond to employee requests/inquiries related to GOSI, QIWA, Moqeem, Mudad, HRDF, etc.
  • Provide weekly & monthly reports related to GOSI/QIWA/HRDF activities, as required.
  • Organize, develop, and improve the management of GOSI and HRDF processes, to streamline and enhance productivity.
  • Issue Saudization certification, wage protection certification, etc., and ensure the certificates are always valid.
  • Provide Saudization analytics reports when required.


Skills

Skilled and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations. MBA degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in regulatory affairs, policy advocacy, and/or government relations
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong government contacts at a local level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrable track record producing effective and high-quality legal advice to departmental heads within the business.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Human Capital Management and Government Relations team, to deliver on the departmental goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and advocating for policies and regulations.
  • English & Arabic language - Proficiency level.
