We are seeking a highly experienced Utilities Lead to oversee and manage utilities operations across our projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in utilities work, demonstrating proficiency in managing utilities installation, maintenance, and coordination. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless integration and operation of utility systems including water, sewer, gas, and electrical networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage utilities teams to ensure the successful installation, maintenance, and operation of utility systems.
- Oversee all aspects of utilities work, including planning, coordination, execution, and quality control.
- Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement detailed utilities plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate utilities work with overall project objectives.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on utilities installation and maintenance techniques, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
- Review and approve technical drawings, utility designs, and site assessments.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor utilities operations to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to address any issues promptly.
- Resource Management:
- Manage utilities equipment, materials, and resources efficiently to optimize performance and minimize costs.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and calibration of utilities machinery and equipment.
- Safety Management:
- Implement and uphold safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for utilities teams.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary contact for all utilities-related communications with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to utilities operations in a timely and effective manner.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of utilities activities, including progress reports, material usage, and equipment logs.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on utilities performance, issues, and project status to senior management.
Skills
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Utilities Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Utilities Coordinator) are advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in utilities work, with a demonstrated track record in managing utilities installation and maintenance projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with utilities management software and tools. Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
