- Conduct land surveys and measurements using specialized equipment such as GPS, total
stations, and levels.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, sketches, and reports of survey activities.
- Establish and verify property boundaries, easements, and land titles.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate land data
and ensure project specifications are met.
- Analyze survey data and present findings in detailed reports and maps.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Perform topographic and construction staking surveys.
- Assist in resolving boundary disputes and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings if
required.
- Stay updated with advancements in surveying technology and methodologies.
- Possess knowledge of surveying, marking points, and determining excavation paths and
directions.
- Be capable of calculating quantities and using engineering programs specific to surveying
and calculating surface areas.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Land Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in surveying software and CAD applications.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
