Position Title: Specialist Warehouse / Spares

The Specialist, Warehouse/Spare Parts is responsible for managing various warehouse operations, such as shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and fulfilling purchase orders, while maintaining stock levels of essential materials. The role ensures the computerized Inventory Tracking System accurately reflects real-time inventory of equipment, machinery, spare parts, and critical items needed for plant maintenance and repair. It also involves strong communication and collaboration with different departments, including Procurement and Quality Engineering. The Specialist must ensure safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean and orderly work environment to prevent accidents.
Warehousing Responsibilities:
The Specialist oversees all warehouse and spare parts operations, including issuing materials and supplies to project sites and coordinating the loading, unloading, and placement of materials, supplies, and equipment at warehouses, storage yards, and plants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient, effective, and safe performance of all warehouse functions.
- Coordinating the movement of materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts, cranes, or hoists.
- Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves, and securing them to prevent damage during transit.
- Recording inventory data such as counts, weights, and movements, and tagging or labeling materials accordingly.
- Assembling and banding materials into bundles, assembling crates, and preparing products for shipping.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and occasionally operating forklifts or electric hoists to move materials.
The role involves regular use of hand tools and equipment to handle various tasks, ensuring materials are stored correctly, and work areas are safe and tidy.
Warehousing and Spare Parts Management Responsibilities:
The Specialist is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including managing spare parts, materials, and supplies. Key duties involve coordinating the loading, unloading, and proper storage of supplies at various locations, ensuring safety and efficiency in all activities, and using tools and equipment to handle materials. The Specialist also manages inventory, updates the computerized Inventory Tracking System, and maintains a clean, organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehousing, receiving, storing, and cataloging of parts and supplies.
- Ensure accurate inventory records for equipment, spare parts, and critical items.
- Conduct regular inventory reviews and physical counts, ensuring the system reflects real-time inventory.
- Coordinate with procurement to manage vendor relations, warranty claims, and stock orders.
- Maintain a well-organized parts storage area and submit weekly stock reports.
- Promote safety by following standard HSE procedures and correcting unsafe conditions.
Total Quality Management (TQM):
- Ensure order requests are complete and accurate before submission, adhering to a zero-defect policy.
- Assist in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance quality.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Promote a "Safety First" culture by adhering to safety procedures and correcting unsafe conditions.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and report any uncorrectable issues to supervisors.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent / Secondary education (12 years).
- Experience: 2+ years in inventory/material control in ISO9001 or AS9100 certified environments, preferably within petroleum, chemical, fertilizer/mining, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of equipment, parts, and inventory control.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills and international work experience in remote locations are advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work internationally in remote locations and be away from home for extended periods.
- Must have a valid passport and meet medical and background requirements for a visa for Saudi Arabia.
