Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
Project support officers provide vital assistance to project managers. These highly-organized, dynamic professionals work on important projects. As a project support officer, you won’t only perform routine administrative duties like minute taking – rather, your responsibilities will be inextricably tied to the success of the project you are working on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Bid Manager in developing, negotiating, and finalizing subcontractor agreements, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Ensure that all contracts and subcontracts comply with legal standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Assist PM to monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to agreed-upon deliverables, milestones, and quality standards.
- Highlight any contractual disputes and negotiate changes to contract terms as necessary.
- Manage and monitor subcontractor billing and payments.
- Assist in performing cost analysis and financial forecasting to ensure subcontracting arrangements remain within the project budget.
- Ensure that subcontractor insurance, warranties, and other risk management measures are in place.
- Work closely with the procurement team to source qualified subcontractors and vendors that meet project needs.
- Assist in vendor selection by conducting due diligence, assessing capabilities, and evaluating cost structures.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance regularly, ensuring that they meet project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Foster relationships with subcontractors, ensuring long-term partnerships and addressing any issues that arise.
- Provide regular reports on subcontractor performance and financial status to internal stakeholders and project teams.

Additional Information
**Security clearance**
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
