Operation and process Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation staff and work effectively to optimize the operation of the plant.
  • Monitor the plant performance: running hours, KPI, process results & equipment.
  • Review Lab daily report to ensure meeting all contractual and technical specifications.
  • Monitor and continuously optimize the process with strong contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all plant operations.
  • Facilitate maintenance work in collaboration with Maintenance manager to minimize Disturbance on the process, and to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of equipment, verifies proper implementation of plant preventive. maintenance plan as well as the work order issuance for any corrective maintenance whenever required.
  • Provide technical support and analysis to the operation staff whenever required.
  • Follow up operation consumables and its supply.
  • Evaluate plant operations assures proper adjustment of plant processes; coordinates sampling operations to assure proper balance of treatment steps and meeting effluent requirements; ensures the proper conduct of laboratory tests performed by operation staff.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required (Daily, Monthly, annual, etc.)
  • Ensure that all workers have suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) and suitable accreditation (electrical, confined space, etc....) to work.
  • Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is adequately implemented.
  • Local Staff training and appraisal/s supervision.
  • Manage the plant’s operating budget, including forecasting and controlling costs
  • Procure necessary supplies and equipment for plant operations

Manage contracts with external vendors and service providers




Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in process optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
