Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor who will play a pivotal role in construction and infrastructure projects, expertly managing costs and leading financial planning efforts throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role is essential in ensuring budgetary efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining strict compliance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare and manage detailed project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project finances, ensuring costs stay within the allocated budget.
  • Contract Administration: Draft and manage contracts, handle variations, and resolve disputes.
  • Procurement: Source materials and subcontractors, manage the tender process, and negotiate pricing.
  • Cost Control: Conduct site visits to assess progress, prepare valuation reports, and track project costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project changes.
  • Final Accounts: Settle final accounts and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project teams and provide financial updates.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimation software, and legal requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • 3-5 years in quantity surveying or cost management.
  • Proven experience managing project costs from start to finish.

 

Work Environment:

- Office-based with regular site visits, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
