PMO Director / Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and methodologies to enhance project delivery and performance.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Implement robust cost control measures and financial management practices to monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to project managers and teams, facilitating effective project planning, execution, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement project reporting systems, including progress reports, performance metrics, and dashboards, to provide transparency and accountability.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools, incorporating lessons learned and best practices.
  • Coordinate with senior management to ensure alignment of PMO activities with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Facilitate the training and development of project management staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in project management, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies as applicable.


Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management within the construction and contracting industry, with significant experience in establishing and managing a PMO.
  • Proven expertise in project planning, cost control, and financial management within a construction context.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
