Contracts Manager

A Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contracts within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring that contracts are executed efficiently and effectively, while also minimizing risk and maximizing value for the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewing contracts and explaining terms and conditions to managers and internal stakeholders.
  2. Analyzing potential risks and their impact on the company.
  3. Negotiating contracts with internal and external parties.
  4. Updating and maintaining an organized database of contracts.
  5. Ensuring compliance with company contracts and staying up to date with legislative changes.
  6. Supporting negotiations of claims, managing contractual changes, and resolving disputes or conflicts with contractors.
  7. Assessing and preparing claims from suppliers.
  8. Ensuring project members use the contract correctly.

Preferred Candidates:

  1. Should be an electrical or civil engineer.
  2. Fully aware of the EPC contracting environment.
  3. Extensive experience with SEC/municipality contracts terms and conditions.
  4. A registered contracts engineer with SEC/municipality is a plus.
  5. Attention to detail.
  6. Able to work and liaise with internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority levels.

  • Knowledge of contract law and legal principles
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Electrical or civil engineering background
  • Familiarity with the EPC contracting environment

  • Registered contracts engineer with SEC/municipality (preferred)
  • Able to work with stakeholders of varying seniority levels
