Role Purpose

 

As Investigations Senior Manager, you will use your accountancy skills to investigate financial discrepancies and inaccuracies such as fraudulent activity, financial misrepresentation, or misconduct and disputes. You will independently manage and oversee the activities of the SpeakUp Investigations cases. You will provide support to the Head of Investigations and team always ensuring adequate coverage of investigations. You will act as a point of contact for both internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the SpeakUp Investigations system. You will work with the SpeakUp Investigations team to support whistleblowers and to provide services and support for those who raise concerns. You will support the development of end-to-end systems that includes empowering workers to speak out about wrongdoing; protecting whistleblowers who contribute to published reports of wrongdoing; supporting collaborative investigative reporting on wrongdoing; and, advocating for lasting change as a result of SpeakUp investigations and the learning derived.

 

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 12 years of recent and relevant investigation experience (with references) OR college graduate with an emphasis in forensic accounting, legal, audit and governance, risk and compliance or related field along with ability to successfully complete/pass job-related assessments.

  • Qualifications sought
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or other related field.
    • Professional qualification in forensic accounting

Key Investigations Responsibilities

 

  • Lead on investigations of fraud and other irregularities
  • Perform forensic research to trace funds and identify assets for recovery
  • Extract data from financial records
  • Create and manipulate spreadsheets
  • Conduct forensic analysis of financial data
  • Assess the potential impact on profitability, value or income
  • Undertake interviews to uncover and verify information
  • Prepare forensic accounting reports from financial findings
  • Understand the wider economic and legal implications of a case
  • Manage, develop and coach team members

  • Leads and enhances team dynamics by providing advanced leadership, performance guidance, and support to Managers and junior NIA audit team members through focused coaching, insightful feedback, and mentoring.
  • Conducts thorough real-time reviews of team deliverables, offering constructive feedback promptly to maintain high standards.
  • Ensures rigorous adherence to methodology and best practices during the execution of projects.
  • Role model NEOM Values demonstrating effective leadership to all NIA team members.
  • Understands and proactively manages Investigations leading practices and supports the evolvement of NIA into a world-class Investigations function.

  • Manages resources (including co-source) to deliver to budget and quality.
