Senior Technical Office Engineer – Structure

Technical Oversight:

  • Review and interpret structural design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with design intent and structural integrity.
  • Resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during the construction process.

Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural elements.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of structural shop drawings, as-built drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all structural work meets required standards and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify the accuracy and quality of construction work.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all structural work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with structural work.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between the construction team and design professionals.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and records related to structural engineering aspects of the project.
  • Document and address any changes or modifications to the original design.


Skills

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering within the construction industry, with a proven track record in technical office management.

Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
