Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven FMCG Van Salesman to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling and delivering fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) directly to customers, managing sales routes, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Delivery:
- Sell and deliver FMCG products to retail outlets and other customers on an assigned route.
- Achieve sales targets by identifying new sales opportunities and maximizing sales potential with existing customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Address customer queries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.
- Provide information on new products, promotions, and offers.
Stock and Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels on the van, ensuring adequate stock for daily sales.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile stock at the end of the day.
- Handle the loading and unloading of products.
- Route Management:
- Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize sales efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, and collections.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide insights to the sales team.
- Reporting:
- Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the sales supervisor.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, sales trends, and product performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in van sales or a similar role in the FMCG sector.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
- Strong sales skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of the local market and routes is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy products.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel extensively within the assigned territory.
