Job Title: FMCG Van Salesman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven FMCG Van Salesman to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling and delivering fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) directly to customers, managing sales routes, and building strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales and Delivery:

  • Sell and deliver FMCG products to retail outlets and other customers on an assigned route.
  • Achieve sales targets by identifying new sales opportunities and maximizing sales potential with existing customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Address customer queries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.
  • Provide information on new products, promotions, and offers.

Stock and Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels on the van, ensuring adequate stock for daily sales.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile stock at the end of the day.
  • Handle the loading and unloading of products.
  • Route Management:
  • Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize sales efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, and collections.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide insights to the sales team.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the sales supervisor.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, sales trends, and product performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in van sales or a similar role in the FMCG sector.
  • Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong sales skills and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of the local market and routes is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy products.
  • Willingness to work long hours and travel extensively within the assigned territory.
