Role Purpose:

The Pathways Manager is responsible for developing and managing integrated training-based and on-the-job training pathways and serves as the interface with industry to secure and supervise full time employment, short- and long-term placements, post training transition, mentor programs, and internships to fast-track meaningful opportunities in the MECF sectors.

To this end the Pathways Manager is responsible of developing, managing and maintaining industry partnerships, creating and maintaining dedicated NEOM careers pathways office and program linking talent to opportunities, creating and implementing relevant events such as NEOM job fairs, networking events, IL ambassador programs and alumni associations, attending external events, and establishing placement programs such as fellowships within NEOM & with external partners & stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the IL Director in developing and delivering educational, vocational, creative and technical training courses.
  • Maintain a database of internships, placements, attachments and full-time employment opportunities within the Media Industries sector and partner base at NEOM.
  • Matches employer/student needs with skills and abilities, develops and presents orientation & induction sessions.
  • Conducts and evaluates surveys of employers and students regarding work attitudes, staffing needs, desirable employee skills and qualifications, work and career goals; ensuring that there is consideration for placements in related training programs.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of ongoing support services for students and learners throughout the entire cycle of the student employment process including planning and development, selection, recruiting, hiring, orientation and training, separation, and engagement.
  • Build network of relationships with key Media Industries Sector and industry partner stakeholders in collaboration with relevant IL management to increase hiring and enhance supervision of student employees.
  • Building long-list from regional and global industry who could be employers that take placements aligning with IL strategy
  • Counsel students, parents and employers regarding applicable internships, placements and full-time employment opportunities.
  • Act as point of contact for NEOM sectors and industry partners relating to student placements, attachments and employment.
  • Serves as an authoritative and supportive resource to students regarding placement and employment programs, job classifications, policies and procedures, selection and hiring.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of students into internships, placements and full-time employment, ensuring all learners and candidates receive a world class recruitment and onboarding process throughout
  • Create a NEOM talent database in coordination with the NEOM student database
  • Work with NEOM HR on job fairs and attend external events
  • Feed into the development of partnerships with base economy initiatives for immediate employment and programs prior to operation in NEOM –  public & private sector
  • Ensure all interns and placements are being managed successfully by discussing progress with students and placement providers.
  • Create tailored NEOM programs to facilitate opportunities for IL students & graduates
  • Conduct ongoing interviews with students upon completion of internships and placements to ensure continual improvements in overall student experience including pastoral care.
  • Maintaining Alumni connections through IL ambassador programs and alumni associations, and networking events.
  • Assists with office administration, program management, staff supervision and training and with developing office policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
  • Successful negotiation of pathway agreements
  • Work with Human Resources, Finance, Procurement and other departments to ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain offline and online administration systems.
  • Work with the IL Director to ensure alignment with sector and department objectives.
  • Maintain database of industry partners and planned productions for internships, placements, attachments, and full-time employment opportunities.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant experience (such as human resources, graduate recruitment or employment services) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education – preferably with a tertiary institution in Saudi Arabia
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking engagements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to meet and deal effectively with others and provide superior customer service
  • Ability to counsel Saudi students
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and accurate
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of office and program management

 

Qualifications:

  • Further education certification in Student Affairs Administration, College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Counseling, or related field is preferred
