Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor (Internal Audit) is responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and commercial management of construction projects. They play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. The Quantity Surveyor will be based in Jeddah/Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will work for a private sector employer.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct internal audits and prepare detailed audit reports and presentations for management.
  2. Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis to determine the viability of projects.
  4. Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials and subcontractors.
  5. Monitor project costs and prepare regular reports to track expenditure.
  6. Ensure that projects are completed within budget and according to the agreed schedule.


Skills

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Experience:

• Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying.

• Sound knowledge of variations and claims mechanisms / practical cases.

• Sound knowledge of international principles of measurement.

• Excellent analytical Skills.

• Proficient in IT and Computer Skills.

• Familiarity with KSA Government Tenders and Procurement Law.

• Experience in the Middle East.

• Internal audit experience.

• KSA based candidates are preferred, but international candidates will be considered.

• CA / CPA / CIA / CISA / PMP is a plus.
