Agronomy Manager

Job Summary The purpose of an Agronomy Manager is to provide technical agronomic advice and support to specialists and other stakeholders, to improve planting, increase yields, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This includes developing and implementing management plans, and conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve production. The Agronomy Manager also provides advice and guidance to other staff in the organization on agronomy-related topics. The goal of the role is to ensure that planting is efficient and environmentally sustainable. Responsibilities • Develop and implement agronomy plans and strategies • Conduct soil and crop analysis and monitor pests and diseases • Monitor, evaluate and report on agronomy activities and performance • Develop and manage budgets and resources • Coordinate and supervise activities of nursery staff • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

Job Requirements • BSc or higher in Agronomy or related field • Knowledge and experience in crop production and disease management • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to analyze data, interpret results and make recommendations Required Skills • Strong communication and organizational skills • Knowledge of agricultural and agronomic principles • Ability to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to increase productivity • Ability to implement best practices and protocols • Ability to monitor and analyze data to provide reports and make recommendations
