Role - Assistant Manager - Store Operations Coastal Contracting Company - is hiring an Assistant Manager - Store Operations who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction materials store. This includes managing inventory, coordinating logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with experience in inventory management, logistics, and a strong understanding of the construction industry. Responsibilities: Oversee the efficient storage, organization, and retrieval of construction materials, tools, and equipment. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels, set minimum quantities, and manage reordering processes. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely deliveries of materials and equipment, minimizing project delays. Manage the logistics of getting materials and equipment to construction sites on time and in the correct quantities. Work with dispatchers and logistics providers to schedule deliveries and ensure efficient transportation. Oversee the safe loading and unloading of materials at the store and construction sites. Supervise and motivate store operations staff, including warehouse personnel and equipment operators. Ensure staff understand and adhere to safety protocols for material storage and handling procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and reports for the Store Manager and other stakeholders. Identify and resolve issues related to material shortages or delivery delays to minimize project disruptions. Support project teams by proactively anticipating material and equipment needs for upcoming projects. Ensure all store operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.

Minimum 8 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory management, or logistics role. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Construction Management Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices. Familiarity with construction materials and equipment a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to supervise and motivate a team. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
